THE CHARLES, Prague – A Smart Stay in the City

The hotel is perfectly located by the Charles Bridge in Lesser Town, offering amazing views and a charming old-world ambiance. The rooms are spacious, clean, and tastefully restored with character and charm, providing a quiet retreat. However, the dining options may not suit vegetarian guests, and the lack of AC and a safer bathtub setup could be improved.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms, while spacious and beautifully decorated, unfortunately faced a noisy street that disrupted my sleep. The service was excellent and accommodating to all my needs. The location was fantastic for sightseeing but not ideal for a quiet night's rest. The dining options were average, with a decent variety but lacking in hot selections. Despite some drawbacks, the overall stay was decent considering the value for money.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had a kick-butt air conditioning system, but they lacked soundproofing, leading to noise disturbances from the street and other guests. The service was a bit of a rollercoaster: some staff members were helpful and lovely, while others seemed unqualified and even locked us in on our final morning. The location was excellent, steps away from the Charles Bridge, making city exploration convenient, although the tightness of the surroundings could be annoying at times. The dining options were mixed, with a poor selection noted, but the included continental breakfast was plentiful and enjoyable. Overall, a stay with its ups and downs.

The rooms were very clean, of a good size, and air-conditioned, with complimentary tea and coffee, but they fell well below the standard of the rest of the hotel due to ongoing renovations on the 3rd floor right above my room. The service was excellent; they were so helpful, and I would love to stay again if I visit Prague. The location was superb, easy to walk to the Charles Bridge, across town, and to the metro and trams, with a great selection of food options. However, the dining needs improvement and the facilities were lacking.
